Happy Leap Day!
Since we have this extra day my husband and I decided that we try something we have never tried before. We were given this extra day in the year so we both scheduled it off and made plans for the day.
We had several choices: Hand Gliding, Bungee Jumping, Horse Back Riding, Skydiving… (Sorry Tom I did this already, but would gladly do it again)
The winner was… also on a short notice – Horse Back Riding!
We found this place called Sea Horse Ranch located in Half Moon Bay. A little over an hour from where we live but it was all worth it. They have an early bird special $60 for a 2 hr ride at 8am! Since it was Monday we were the only ones there! it was a win win situation!
It was a perfect day for a ride on a trail and along the beautiful beach. Our horses Primo – a retired race horse and Tardy-who is known to be late all the time because he is always grazing. We also had an amazing guide Angel -who mentioned is single and asked if I had friends.
Here are a few photos from our ride this morning!

The Beach!
After 2 hours of scenic riding we were starving. We initially wanted to grab a bite from Sam’s Clowder house but they don’t open till 11:30!!! Waaahhh… So we found this little cafe that served breakfast called The Press.
We still wanted to get some famous clam chowder and lobster rolls! So we drove a little bit and then headed back to Sam’s Chowder House. There was a line of people waiting for them to open their doors-must be real good!

The Famous Lobster Roll!
Leap Day 2016 was a success! Can’t wait for 2020!
