Chengdu Trip: October 23, 2010
We made it back to Chengdu! Thankfully no traffic accidents or carmegeddon. We then booked it to our hotel via cab to pack up and wind down to our next destination.
This is our hostel. We finally had some time to see it in the day light. Previously we arrived late at night or had to book it out of there to go to the Reserve. It is an interesting shaped building. Sorta had a light house-eque feel with the tower.
We had all the left over time we basically just killed time around the lobby. We caught up on some email, explored the hostel’s offerings and then played some ping pong until we got hungry.
After our break at the hostel we decided to grab dinner and walk around once more. There was a lot happening at this time. There were street vendors with loads of food, people playing mahjong, there were children playing, a women sewing. There were so much to see this time around.
After a little bit of walking we wandered into a little shopping area. Mostly little restaurants were open, we had to have dinner here.
We finally decided on which restaurant we would eat at. It was easy. the one with the brightest and most appetizing photos of food they had to offer!
And that’s it. Thanks Chengdu you were wonderful to us!
